Keys Retires, Azarenka is UNSTOPPABLE, De Minaur Defeats Khachanov - Day 7 Results and Recap

A battle between US Open champions happened today. Stephens versus Serena. Sloane has been a rut this year but she gained some momentum at this years grand slam. On her way to facing Serena, Sloane beat Buzarnescu from Romania and Govortsova from Belarus. Two very good veterans with a lot of experience that Sloane was able to face and take out very easily (both in straight sets). Serena, with her experience, dialed in and found that champion form she has. Winning 78% of her first serves as well as firing off 29 winners, Serena came back to win 2-6 6-2 6-2.

On the men's side, Alex De Minaur scores a huge win against 11 seed, Karen Khachanov. This kid is full of talent but you probably already knew that. At 21 years old, this Aussie probably has more talent in his pinky than I could ever have. During his match, he ran more than 13,000 feet! It's a big number but only equates to a little over 2 miles which translates to the same length of the Daytona International Speedway. With his win today, it puts two Australian men in the fourth round of a grand slam, which has not happened in over two decades. He will face off against Vasek Pospisil on Monday.
