Tennis Trunk Unboxing: Fall is Here

If Christmas was in October, it would be the day that my Tennis Trunk arrived at my door step. Every month's trunk offers new gear and food products that can help a tennis player exceed their level of play or help them recover quicker. This month, we have:

- 2 Cans of Wilson, Extra Duty tennis balls

- 1 Pair of Zensah Compression Socks

- Tourna Shock Absorbers

- Wilson Overgrips

- 2 Honey Stinger - Energy Bars

Zensah Compression Socks - 2 socks in 1

At first glance, I thought this pair of socks would just be a thicker version of a compression. Let's face it, who gets excited about socks? But if you're a competitive tennis player, your foot care is a big deal. Just ask Korean Hyeon Chung, whose blister stopped a great run in Wimbledon. These socks have moisture absorbing fabric, a thin mid-sole, and shock absorbing technology in the heel and foot providing a lot in a small package.

I have always worn two socks to prevent blisters and get greater shock absorption. These socks are really soft, easy to put on and fit great. To be honest, it's not easy to change a routine such as putting on your socks a certain, but these are worth trying. At the least it would save me a little laundry and to pack lighter.

Honey Stinger - Gives you a nice, "buzz"

Over time, I have had the opportunity to try different energy bars to see which one is right for me as an athlete. Honey Stinger is an organic energy bar made with all natural ingredients. While providing 5 grams of non-GMO protein, it contains 30%+ of organic honey.

Nice and smooth texture that makes it easy to eat, these energy bars provide energy when you need it either off or on the court. Having these stashed in your car, tennis bag, or training table might give you the edge you are looking for.
